Blood & Thunder Magazine founders Dale "Black Dahlia" Rio and Lindy "Robin Graves" Hartsfield met while playing together for the L.A. Derby Dolls (Fight Crew). Dahlia went on to play with leagues in Seattle, New York City, Philadelphia and founded New Zealand's first derby league, the Pirate City Rollers. Robin no longer competes, but she still volunteers for the L.A. Derby Dolls.
